During the creative process of BATE FADO, the desire to start a company of
batedores begins to be consolidated among the choreographers so that the
proposal to form a Fado Batido dance continues to expand. After BATE FADO,
the second step of this plan that proposes the return of dance to Fado is entitled
RESGATE.
RESGATE is a project that is divided into two moments, starting in a training phase, which later transitions to a creation phase. The training period took place at Pro.dança and lasted four weeks between May and June 2024. This plan for training the choreographic vocabulary of Fado Batido aimed to form a group of dancers who began the creation of a dance company. This course was facilitated by Jonas&Lander and professionals associated with the Fandango, Flamenco and Kuduro dances. The aim is to create an ecosystem of choreographic influences similar to the dances that forged Fado Batido in its origins.
