O que é um problema? | 2023

We start in the void, where there is an unsolved problem, and we set out to discover a path that seems complex and challenging. Problems are found in the body itself and in its limitations: how to deal with these limits, finding alternatives? What path do we need to take to solve the problem in the architecture of our body as a metaphor for the general problem?
The body, curious and insightful, seeks and takes a path that is about to be discovered through movement, construction, drawing and sound. We constantly seek to activate physical, sensory and emotional responses to overcome problems and find solutions.“O que é um problema?” (What is a problem?) is a show that is built on stage, with two dancers, one of them also a visual artist, and a musician, dedicated to the youth audience.
The aim of this project is not only to understand the dynamics and thinking of the youngest, but also to give them the opportunity to express their opinion and present proposals for resolutions for their own questions, stimulating their critical sense.
“O que é um problema?” aims to contribute to the awareness of a younger audience, which is still trying to understand the present and at the same time envision the future. This dramaturgical option is based on the continuity of the work developed by the performers, who develop part of their activities in an educational context, through new dramaturgical perspectives on the creation of dance and music in Portugal.
